The next village you reach will be Tyndrum, follow the road up and round to the right, following signs for A82 Fort William, you will then pass through Bridge of Orchy and head out onto the spectacular Rannoch Moor, before the road heads down Glen Coe, eventually bringing you out past Glencoe Village. After Ballachulish, take the left at the roundabout which takes you up and across the bridge, which heads over to North Ballachulish, continue past Onich and Corran Ferry, all the way to Fort William.

  • Once in Fort William, follow signs for A82 Inverness.

The road will eventually leave Fort William, and take you through Spean Bridge, before taking you past Laggan Locks, Invergarry and Invermoriston, you will eventually come straight to Urquhart Castle and Borlum Riding Centre on the left, continue through the hamlet of Lewiston past the petrel garage on the left into the village of Drumnadrochit carry on past the new Dr surgery on the left, past the small supermarket and the shinty field again on the left carry on through the village green to the bridge turn left onto the A831 to Cannich, you will pass another garage on the left through th village of Milton along to the small village of Balnain with the school on the on the right and the village hall and the forestry huts on the left, once through the village you will be able to see Loch Meiklie on your left carry on along past the Large house and the little white church on the side of the loch once passed the church around the bend you will see a red post box on the right and the signe for the Inn at the bottom of our drive turn right on to the shingle drive we are 100 metres from the road end

To reach Loch Ness by rail you can travel to nearby Inverness or Ft William. There are no Trains out to Drumnadrochit There are good rail links into Inverness from the south with direct fast services from Glasgow, Edinburgh and London (including sleeper services).
